In this striking photograph, Natalya wanted to capture floating yellow buoys on the sea, as if they want to show us what directions we can go or not. Here, the buoys function not just as physical markers, but as quiet metaphors—signposts in a vast and unpredictable landscape. Their orderly rhythm on the water suggests both safety and limitation, freedom and restraint. Natalya invites viewers to reflect on how invisible boundaries shape our paths—guiding, protecting, or sometimes gently reminding us of the edges we cannot—or should not—cross.
The photo was taken in the sun-drenched region of Canet-en-Roussillon in southern France in June 2025, a coastal town known for its Mediterranean light, natural beauty, and rich blend of seaside charm and rural tranquility.
This image is part of Natalya Mougenot’s series The Beauty of Simple, which celebrates ordinary scenes that reveal an emotional depth through their stillness and simplicity.
A painter by background, Mougenot brings a subtle, poetic sensibility to photography. Her work is contemplative, quiet, and deeply rooted in presence.
Shipping: The photo will be carefully packed accompanied by the Certificate of the Authenticity and shipped from France to your destination.
Artist Biography:
Natalya Mougenot is a painter whose artistic vision naturally extends into photography. Her work is guided by a deep appreciation for simplicity, authenticity, and the quiet beauty of everyday life.
She was born in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, and moved to France in 2003. Now based in Lyon, she draws inspiration from her surroundings as well as from her travels, which have offered countless opportunities to observe and capture subtle, fleeting moments — the kind that stay with us.
Her relationship with photography began at the age of 11, when she received her first Polaroid camera. Though not formally trained in photography, her intuitive and spontaneous approach brings a uniquely sensitive perspective. She does not seek to reinvent the world through her lens — rather, she embraces it as it is.
Before fully embracing painting in 2017, Natalya had already been passionate about photography for years. This deep connection with capturing life’s fleeting instants naturally informed and enriched her painterly practice. Her photographs often serve as visual notes — some evolving into paintings, others left untouched — all expressing stillness, presence, and a lived moment held gently in time.
Natalya says about her photography practice:
"I seek to capture the honest, unguarded moments of life — simple, timeless fragments that reveal the poetry in everyday existence. My photography, like my painting, embraces presence and authenticity, creating quiet visual stories that invite reflection and feeling."

In this striking photograph by Natalya, a cluster of vivid yellow daisies—unlike the traditional white-petaled kind—commands attention with their golden hues. Perched delicately on one of the blossoms is a tiny snail, bringing a sense of quiet life and subtle movement to the still composition. The photo was taken in the sun-drenched region of Canet-en-Roussillon in southern France, a coastal town known for its Mediterranean light, natural beauty, and rich blend of seaside charm and rural tranquility.

Natalya Mougenot id a french artist living in France for more than 20 years. She was born and grew up in Kazakhstan, the country known for its spacious steppes. She arrived in France 2003. Since that moment she loves her adoptive country. She started painting in 2017 and used it as a therapeutic and emotional release during times of crisis. She incorporates this therapeutic approach in her artistic creative process till now. In her artistic practice she refers to the terms of metamodernism, which proposes to look at the world from the position of the inner adult. As an artist and as a woman she translates the experience of her personal search for balance based on harmony between mind, soul and body. This balance, in her opinion, is the pillar for the inner adult. Important components of her work are authenticity, soulfulness, sincerity, emotionality and honesty. She immerses the objects and the characters in the world where there is no falsity, rudeness, loneliness and indifference. She works rapidly and is constantly sensitive to the details. Her artistic process is a fine balance between a pre-meditation and spontantainty which helps her to create her expressive atmospheric artworks with a modern touch of impressionism by cultivating a naive art approach. Natalya manipulates different mediums without a preconceived plan since she is guided by what she wants to express at the moment by embracing the quality of my materials. She does not deny that her artworks reflect her intuitive approach and her love for vibrant colors which represent her who she is. Natalya says she is never able to create the same piece more than once. Sometimes she paints from photos or images. Sometimes she paints from memory. She tells to herself : "Just be yourself when you create ".

The Robin Rice Gallery proudly announces SUMMERTIME Salon 2018, an annual photography exhibit featuring gallery artists as well as a few newcomers. This year’s opening reception will be held on Wednesday, June 27th from 6 – 8 PM, and the show will be on view until September 23rd, 2018
Rice has brought together the works of 55 gallery artists and nearly a hundred photographs for this salon-style exhibition. From floor to ceiling, the walls of the gallery are a mosaic of various size photographs in sepia, color and black & white, expertly hung to fit together like pieces of a puzzle. “This is my favorite exhibition even though it takes months to curate and a week to install,” says Rice. “I love the moment when a viewer is first drawn to an image. Sometimes in’s indefinable; a moment when the viewer not only shares but reconnects to an experience remembered.”
Each year, the Summertime Salon matures and Rice’s annual masterpiece is revealed to showcase an exhibition stronger than the year before. Rice has a close relationship with the works of her photographers, and strategically curates the show to best exemplify the artists’ strengths, remaining cohesively linked by Rice’s aesthetic.
This year’s invitational image, Hoop and Ball by Nenad Samuilo Amodaj is from a series of one hundred photographs. Rice chose three photographs from Amodaj’s series to create a triptych on the back wall of her gallery for this exhibition. The invitational image is of a standing semi-nude woman in profile wearing a hoop skirt. Her entire head rests inside of a large white plaster ball that she holds above her. He explained: “I wanted to explore the abstract architectural properties of the hoop skirt, a clothing item with curious geometric form that appears both in nature and in the world of artifice.” Before photographing the model he created numerous figure drawings that helped solidify his vision for the series.
