Because of their amazingly warm fur, their metabolic rate does not actually change until temperatures reach the minus 40s. These small canines survive by hunting mice and other small birds and mammals." - Paul Nicklen Paul Nicklen's Biography: Paul Nicklen (Canadian) is a visual artist and marine biologist who has documented both the beauty and the plight of our planet for over 20 years. Paul’s photography informs and connects by creating an emotional bond with wild subjects in extreme conditions. After a 20-year career of photographing for journalistic publications like National Geographic, Paul’s perpetuating dream is to revisit his archives for the true artistic gems and release them to the world. His ongoing journey is to continue photographing intimate, evocative, powerful subject matter to create a thought-provoking body of work. Paul hopes his viewers look into the eyes of the animals in his photographs and fall in love with their vulnerability. In addition to being one of the world’s most renowned nature photographers, Paul is a well-known speaker, TED Talks participant, author, and National Geographic Fellow. In the past two decades, Paul has collaborated with scientists, filmmakers, conservationists, and explorers to create awareness and inspire action for global issues such as climate change. Paul has garnered more than 30 of the highest awards given to any photographer in his field, earning a global following of celebrities, conservationists, and fans.

David Yarrow has built an unrivaled reputation for capturing the beauty of the planet’s remote landscapes, cultures and endangered animals. Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1966, he is now an internationally acclaimed fine art photographer and Europe’s best selling wildlife photographer. I find photographing bears in Alaska both challenging and humbling. There are many reasons for this: unpredictable salmon run; nasty backdrops and the difficulty of being authentic. Alaska may seem a final frontier, but it is a well-trodden path for photographers and there is little merit in taking another down- ward picture of a salmon in a bear’s mouth. My success ratio is low over the last 10 years, but we now know the area well and have had our moments. The legendary Brooks Falls location in Katmai, Alaska hosts many photographers and even more bears in July. Up by the waterfall, on a busy day, there can be as many as 20 photographers and two dozen bears. Incongruously, in this extremely re- mote outpost, a spectator stand has been built on the bank by the water- fall to accommodate the day visitors who fly in on float planes...

Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1966, he is now an internationally acclaimed fine art photographer and Europe’s best selling wildlife photographer. "Such is the grandeur and scale of Monument Valley that at almost every corner there is something of a sensory overload. The amphitheatre, for all its majesty, also has a sense of incompleteness, as if God the creator got a little bored of building the city and moved on to other projects. The result is an architectural canvas unlike any other in the world. I knew one angle where I could compress distance and fill one of the gaps in this city of monoliths with foreground detail. We had an old VW camper van...
