About the Item

Bonanza Café, iconic photograph from Richard Heeps Dream in Colour series, it was the cover artwork on his book Man's Ruin. The photo takes you back to small town Americana with the sun soaking through the windows onto the classic red diner seating. To mark twenty years since its creation he has released this 6x7 format with it's AGFA Ultra film rebate. This artwork is a limited edition of 25, gloss photographic print, dry-mounted to aluminium, it is presented in a museum board white window mount and a choice of black or white box frame fitted with anti-reflective UV70% glass. It is signed and numbered on reverse and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Handmade to order. Viewing on a backlit screen may affect true to life colors and tones. This artwork is available in other sizes and pairs well with Richard Heeps' other artworks in our 1stdibs store. Richard Heeps’ seductive, highly saturated colours and sophisticated pictorial structures demonstrate a true love and empathy for his subject matter – be it cool, descriptive interiors, still life, portrait or landscape. His distinctive style pushes the limits of lens-based photography. He runs his own darkrooms in Cambridge (UK) where he makes his master prints. His work has been exhibited in Museums and Public Galleries around England and he has participated in Art Fairs around the world and his work is now part of many international collections.
