Printed with Epson UltraChrome Pro ink on Hahnemühle Pearl photo paper, mounted on dibond and professionally framed. 65 x 100 cm (framed included in price 68 x 103 cm) Just over a month ago, photographer Klaas Jan van der Weij won the prestigious Sports Photo of the Year award. Now, he has selected over 30 images from his remarkable 40-year career as a sports photographer for leading Dutch newspapers such as De Volkskrant, Trouw, and AD. Throughout his career, Van der Weij has covered 30 editions of the Tour de France, 15 Olympic Games, countless football matches, as well as numerous speed skating and tennis tournaments and many other sporting events. His work has earned him the World Press Photo award in the sports category, the Zilveren Camera, and many other accolades. The selected photographs, curated in collaboration with the photographer himself, are printed on dibond and available for purchase in a limited edition of 10. Each print is signed and numbered by Klaas Jan van der Weij. Sizes range from 30 to 200 cm in width and/or height, and the collection captures unique and iconic moments in sports history. Subjects include legendary moments featuring Johan Cruyff, Mathieu van der Poel, and speed skater Jutta Leerdam, among others.

Along with John O’Brien and Peter Fallon, Tim founded the Deerfield Press, publisher of limited-edition illustrated poems and stories; James Dickey, John McPhee, and Seamus Heaney are among the authors whom the Press published. For several decades, Tim served on the faculty at the Advanced Placement Summer Institute in St. Johnsbury, Vt., and as a consultant to the College Board. He spent sabbaticals in New York City and Boston, and he has exhibited in galleries in those cities and many other venues. His work can be found in the National Library of Ireland, Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts, and in private collections worldwide. In 2004, Tim returned to Indiana.
