About the Item
"El Turista Quemado" means the burnt tourist, one of the many names for an endemic Mexican tree. This species changes its skin like a snake, or as Oaxacan likes to refer to it, "like a burnt tourist not used to Mexican sun".
Sebastien's body of work unfolds around the image. Almost always, he works on his work in series, which means that several works result from one source image.
He is very methodical in his process, starting with extensive research that leads him to choose an image, whether from his own record as a photographer or images from other sources. After a digital alteration, the image is ready to go to print.
Sebastien works in layers, for this, he prepares his canvas in a certain way to obtain a good reproduction of the image and thus achieve the best possible printing quality.

Miguel Milló builds complex compositions in which painting, sculpture, and the play of light and shadow combine to create subtle and poetic atmospheres. In his images, the human being is a metaphor for the fertile land from which life springs; an overflowing life, full of throbbing. It can be said that the nude bodies are blank canvases that the artist intervenes with mud and pigments, to later cover them with simple or complex compositions of plants, earth, roots, leaves, flowers, and fruits. This gives life to his final work, through the masterful handling of light sources and shadows that provide volume and movement to the creation captured through his magic eye...
