Tornado Alley, USA. Un tel ciel ne se voit que quelques fois dans une vie. Ces couleurs auront duré quelques minutes à peine.
Cette photo est l’une des rares de ce photographe prise avec un appareil numérique – les orages demandent souvent beaucoup de prises de vue ! Elle est tirée sur un papier satiné argentique par un système mixte numérique – argentique (impression par lasers sur papier argentique photosensible, dans l’obscurité totale). Elle est ensuite authentifiée avec une presse à sec, qui crée un discret relief sur un coin de l’image. Puis le photographe se rend chez Elio, encadreur du 11è arrondissement de Paris. Derrière sa vitrine en bois travaillent des artisans passionnés : il s’agit de trouver l’encadrement, souvent sur mesure, qui mettra le mieux l’œuvre en valeur.
