Amidst a dense, unyielding forest, twisted branches reach out like silent expressions of resilience. The Baltic pine, shaped by time and the elements, bends but does not break, adapting with a quiet defiance. Even in a harsh and limiting environment, where the sky is veiled in mist and the trees stand in rigid order, nature carves its own path—unruly, untamed, and free. The gnarled limbs, stretching in unpredictable directions, embody an organic rebellion, proving that even within constraint, there is movement, there is voice, there is becoming. Freedom is not the absence of boundaries, but the refusal to be defined by them.

All unframed prints are to be handled with extreme care and only opened by a framer using cotton gloves. Avoid contact with skin and any oils/moisture.
Artist Biography:
Ugne is a Lithuanian fine art photographer based in London. Her work explores the intricate systems and subtle beauty of nature, finding inspiration in its quiet resilience and ephemeral grace. By capturing small, often-overlooked moments, Ugne transforms natural elements into visual poetry, reflecting on the delicate balance of life.

Ugne Pouwell is a fine art photographer originally from Lithuania. Today she makes most of her creative work in London, United Kingdom. Her main focus is black and white landscape and floral photography. Mainly using a large format 4x5 Linhof camera to express the timeless beauty of the subject in focus. Many of the influences come from 20th-century photography. She processes her work from start to finish: film processing, scanning and printing. Her work is mainly printed on the world's oldest paper-producing houses Hahnemühle (Germany) and Awagami (Japan) and some more exclusive work on organic linen and cotton fabrics. Paper and canvas choices are mainly based on organic feeling also adding more special feeling to her work. 2016 Ugne finished her BSc studies at University of Westminster Photography and Digital imaging technologies. Continuing her practice by applying scientific knowledge to her everyday work in fine art photography.
