Vicki McKenna's "Tuscany Autumn" is a color photograph of an Italian woodland situated along a winding country road. The foliage of the trees is still green, but the leaves of the vines are turning shades of yellow as they twine around the tree trunks. The fine detail in the scene creates a palpable sense of texture. This landscape photograph is printed on archival paper with a matte finish, delivered in white acid-free mat. Image size is 14 x 21 inches. The photograph is included in McKenna’s Form and Fabric portfolio.
Signed, numbered, and dated in a limited edition of 10.
As a geologist and teacher, Vicki McKenna started taking photographs to illustrate concepts to her students, but soon became intrigued by the challenges of representing a three-dimensional world with an engaging, two-dimensional image. While it is not surprising that McKenna is drawn to photograph the natural landscape, her interests are broad-ranging, and a fascination with architecture means she is also interested in the built environment.
