Sabrina van den Heuvel is a Dutch photographer, attracted to classic black & white photography, music and fashion. In her work she combines those three elements with flair and passion. Her style is characterized by raw, moving images with strong contrasts. Narrative, dynamic photographs. Real moments of intensity, spontaneous and speedy.
In 2017, van den Heuvel was artist-in-residence at the Netherlands Interuniversity Art History Institute in Florence. During her stay in Florence, she was inspired by the nature and classical antiquity around Florence, Rome and Tivoli and created her series Corpus Dei, Divine body. Corpus Dei, her first series of male nudes, is a range of exciting, challenging compositions combining her sense of drama with a timeless aesthetic and with personages that deeply touch your soul.
