About the Item
May Pang's intimate and truthful portraits of John Lennon during their time together are of significant importance. A full length Documentary on John and May's relationship Titled "The lost weekend...A Love Story" has jus been released in theatres throughout the United States. Last year it previewed to a Sold Out audience at the Tri-Becca Film Festival in New York City on June 10th, 2022.
We are proud to present this unique Diamond Dust John Lennon Diptych canvas by May Pang with a collaboration by the artist Ceravolo. These are not just photos of John taken by just anyone, they are rare photographs taken by May Pang, Lennon's companion and girlfriend at an important time in Lennon's life during the 1970's.
This collaboration art, signed by both May Pang and Ceravolo, features May Pangs classic image of John (Photographed at the Capital Records Building in LA). Ceravolo has added the color and diamond dust to these two unique canvases.
The gallery has known both May Pang and Ceravolo for over 30 years and because of that relationship we are pleased to announce that we are the only gallery where you can purchase this image of May Pang's photograph of John with a collaboration by the artist Ceravolo (Known as the painter of the stars of Rock) who added the color and diamond dust to the image. It is limited to only 9 unique works (John's favorite number). The 2 diptych canvases measure 38x60", each one measures 38x30", and are signed, dated and numbered on the verso by May Pang and Ceravolo. Only 9 works will be created and all unique because of the coloring and the hand applied Diamond Dust.
When seen in person, these canvases have a shimmering look created when room light reflects off of the diamond dust surface.

John CRASH Matos is a true pioneer of the Graffiti movement. Crash was first noticed through his murals on subway cars and is now regarded as a pioneer of the Graffiti art movement.
