Working almost exclusively with expired Polaroid film, she embraces its unpredictability to reveal something deeper: the raw, fragile essence of time. Her images do not seek perfection; they seek truth in imperfection. Light leaks, chemical burns, and color shifts become emotional cues, transforming each photograph into a visceral experience rather than a mere document.
At the heart of Schneider’s work lie themes of isolation, desire, memory, and the quietly surreal. Her characters drift through bleached landscapes and roadside motels, pausing at the edges of stories we’re never told—but feel we somehow know.
