The condition of the Polaroid Polacolor print is good. The print shows no surface wear or obvious discoloration. The frame has some minor separation in the upper left and right quadrants. Though he originally trained as a painter, William Wegman is best known for his humorous photographs of his pet Weimaraner dogs. Wegman typically poses his canine subjects in an array of poses and costumes, occasionally equipping them with a bevy of props. His compositions are often in dialogue with art history, riffing on tenets of Minimalism and color field painting. Additionally, the artist has experimented with Polaroids and made paintings of postcards. Wegman’s work belongs in the collections of the Centre Pompidou, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Walker Art Center, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Wegman has also produced drawings and films.

View AllPrelude to 220, or 110 - A Shocking Performance Art
By Chris Burden
Located in Miami, FL
An artist who puts his life on the line for his art.
Chris Burden was at the forefront of the conceptual art movement in the early 1970s. Prelude to 220, or 110 is one of his most important works where the artist puts his life on the line for his art. Burden voluntarily lays on his back. His neck and wists are have copper bands that bolt him to the floor. To his immediate left and right are two buckets of water with a 110-volt line inside. If the buckets were compromised in any way by a passerby or an unexpected event - Burden would have been electrocuted in a literal shocking performance.
Art history is replete with artists who put themselves in harm's way to accomplish their art. Michelangelo risked a misstep to a certain death as he elevated himself over 60 feet to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Francisco Goya's "The Disasters of War" may have put him at odds with a governing orthodoxy. Picasso walked a very narrow line with during the Nazi occupation. Gutzon Borglum dangled himself off the face of Mount Rushmore and War Photographer Robert Capa, landed on Omaha Beach during D-Day. But it was Chris Burden whose art spotlighted...

Gun Hill Road. Boy Holding a Big Bird - Staged Photography
By Robert Funk
Located in Miami, FL
The big bird is a painting. I painted it. It's oil on canvas. I mounted it on plywood and silhouetted it with a jigsaw. I took the silhouetted bird with me on the subway. We each had our own seat on the trip Brooklyn to the Bronx
The station has changed. In a google stock image photo, you can see the geniuses have destroyed the beautiful character of the station. The early 20th-century signage and lighting fixtures have been changed by soulless and cheap looking replacements.

Well-muscled male cat with full mane. He's King of the Jungle even if he's in stone and against a pink background.

Antonio Lopez Biography -
The foremost fashion illustrator of the 1970s and 80s, Antonio (as he signed his work) was and remains one of the most highly regarded and influential figures in the fashion world. While not initially known as a photographer, Antonio was rarely without his favorite Instamatic camera, and as his career progressed he turned increasingly to photography to create fashion stories, portraits, and elaborate mise-en-scènes.
A serial Svengali, as the writer Karin Nelson noted: “Lopez brilliantly transformed the women in his world. Under his tutelage, Jerry Hall, a long tall Texan he met at Paris’s Club Sept, evolved into a golden goddess. He put Jessica Lange in gold lamé evening dresses after discovering her in Paris studying mime, and gave aspiring model Tina Lutz her start (and an introduction to future husband Michael...
