About the Item

Dahlia #4 is an Archival Inkjet Print by contemporary photographer Philip Gatward. This size is 16" x 20" from a Limited Edition of 50. Gatward's first personal project, 'Dahlias', focussed on the intricacies of this unusual flower. In this ongoing and varied series, Gatward shoots his subjects, which range from flowers to animals, against the same neutral grey background, which brings out the fascinating symmetry of seeing something seemingly ordinary from very close up. The stunning variety and intense colours of these images are irresistible. As he studies the beauty and uniqueness of his subjects Gatward compels you to notice the minute details that distinguishes them all. Please bear in mind that all prints are produced to order and shipped unframed. Lead times expected between 5-15 days. Also available as a 32" x 38" Archival Inkjet Print. Contact the gallery for more information.

Diasec® mounting is a time proven system that has set the benchmark for face mounting photographic and fine art prints. Developed in the late 1960’s Diasec® was the first system that allowed photographs to be bonded directly and permanently to acrylic sheet. Diasec® panels are backed with pure aluminium sheet, reinforcing the rigidity of the finished panel. Giving a beautiful profile when viewed from the side. The aluminium back also enables us to attach one of our bespoke pure aluminium sub-frames that allows the artwork to hang on the wall without a traditional picture frame Discover new photography by Allan Forsyth online and in our Wychwood Art Gallery in Deddington. Allan Forsyth is an artist who explores a breadth of themes that is reflected in the range of techniques he employs: analogue and digital exposures taken by the artist exist in his work, alongside computer generated imagery, photograms, and photographic collages from historic magazines and vintage postcards. Born in the Highlands of Scotland, Forsyth’s heritage conveys his love of the drama of nature to his work, seeking to expand the beauty of natural forms that we sometimes overlook in everyday life showing an extra dimension in his work.
