About

In polished stainless steel, this sculpture memorializes the loss of New York City's Twin Towers on 9/11/2001. Living not far from the event, the artist remembers it with a striking image symbolizing pain and absence. Martin Rubio is a New York City sculptor who has exhibited in major galleries and museums globally, including the Meguro Museum of Art in Tokyo, Japan; the Instituto de Cultura in San Juan; the Dallas Museum; the Wadsworth Museum; and the Philadelphia Museum. Sometimes included in the Nuyorican movement, Rubio's collectors live in Japan, France, Venezuela and the United States.
