About the Item

Questo ritratto femminile in gesso, h. 44 cm, è segnato con il numero di inventario 237 e corrisponde a "Ritratto di Albertina, 1959". nonostante non compaia la firma, la sua presenza nell'inventario e l'autenticazione da parte del prof. Marco Fagioli ne confermano l'autenticità. Appartiene quindi alla fase matura dell'attività di Bruno Innocenti, quando lavorava come professore di scultura presso l'istituto di Porta Romana a Firenze, stesso istituto dove si era formato da giovane sotto la guida di Libero Andreotti, dove restò per 40 anni. Nonostante fosse sempre legato all'arte della terra natia, la Toscana, la sua cultura si fonda su influenze vaste che vanno da Medardo Rosso alla plastica indiana, assimilandole grazie alla sua sviluppata capacità tecnica, mantenendo comunque un linguaggio proprio e riconoscibile, intriso di sentimento, tanto che viene definito tra "le più raffinate testimonianze dell'arte italiana del Novecento",
