Tuan- Internationally renowned for his artwork's sense or spirituality, Tuan is one of the most successful sculptors in the world, and the most successful Vietnamese artist in history. Tuan Nguyen, better known by simply Tuan, says that he goal in each piece of art is to convey a sense of "Existential Balance." His art manages to marry technical precision and emotional passion into a beautiful result. Born in 1963 in Vietnam, Tuan's early life was extremely difficult. He witnessed the fall of Saigon firsthand, lived through a failed escape attempt, and spent time in a concentration camp. He discovered the art of sculpture, and attended the University of Southern California in Laguna Beach, California. Almost immediately after Tuan's graduation he was receiving critical acclaim for his sculptures. Since then, he has received the Gloria Medal from the National Sculpture Society, an award giving to one promising artist each year. He works mostly with bronze free standing sculptures, but also works with plaster, acrylic, and relief sculpture. Today, Tuan continues to sculpt with great success.
