About the Item
Instant Moules V is a nickeled and elox aluminium wall sculpture by contemporary Czech sculptor Ondřej Oliva, dimensions are 50× 35× 25cm (19.6 × 13.7 × 9.8 in).
Mollusc shells are artfully arranged on a bouquet. This one-of-a-kind artwork was influenced by the stars and the bioluminescent plankton that can be seen at night on certain beaches.
This sculpture is a unique piece signed by the artist and comes with a certificate of authenticity. This piece is made of Elox aluminum; Elox is a hard surface treatment of aluminum.
The Czech sculptor, Ondřej Oliva’s artworks are inspired by natural as well as commonplace elements that surround us in everyday life, including certain foods that he revisits to create original sculptures filled with multiple suggestions and references. The choice of material is very important: Ondřej uses bronze or aluminium to give his works a long-term perspective. The aluminium, used in this sculpture, is particularly liked by the artist as it allows him to achieve the highest precision in the smallest of details.

Wendy Letven's brilliantly colored abstract wall sculptures and freestanding pieces of painted aluminum are an exciting addition to genres which the artist has extraordinarily reinvigorated with forms that are playful, elegant, sophisticated and unique. Extending approximately 4 - 8 inches from the wall, reflected shadows can also be a marvelous aspect of Letven's works. Occasional and subtle scientific references ( molecules, atoms, astronomy, physics) add gravitas and intellectual weight to works that are pure visual delights - humorous, quite complex and intricate, wildly colorful (or more subdued in black, white and/or silver). Natural is equally influential. Working in sizes as small as 10" high to 10' long, there is an enormous range of possibilities with Letven's sculptures as pedestal and shelf pieces, freestanding works, and very large commissions adaptable to both walls and huge spaces for interior and/or exterior sites:
