Artist biography:
Sanuj Birla is a Pop-Art artist straight living & working in the heart of New Delhi, India. Painting from his childhood a brush in Sanuj’s hand felt completely natural so it was no surprise that he Excelled in art and design at school and turned his childhood passion into his profession. Born in the eighties Sanuj has dedicated his collection of Art work to the cartoon characters, superheroes & Famous movie characters he saw while growing up. He creates large figurative paintings that are a collage of pop art, realism and surrealism. He creates compositions of his works on shape of dreamy visions. Individual fragments of this world are taken from the movie, comic book, famous paintings of great painters and reality. Landscapes. COLLECTIONS: He has created over 250 artworks in the past 9 years of his professional art carrier and has done a whole body of work including canvas oil painting, mixed media art, acrylic paint artworks & sculptures. His artworks are with private collectors in India, London, Singapore, Hongkong, Dubai, San Francisco & Kuwait just to name a few and also in prime night life spots in Delhi.

Andrzej graduated with an MA degree in Fine Arts in the faculty of Sculpture from The Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in 2012. He also studied at The Newcastle University at the department of Fine Art from 2010 till 2011. He moved to London in December 2012 and became a member of the Bow Arts Trust in June 2013. He has exhibited in Poland, Germany and now the UK. From concept to completion Andrzej’s sculpture is created and finished entirely by Andrzej. He casts his own bronze and applies and finishes his own carefully chosen patinas. He is truly an artist of perfection. “I have practiced Judo since I was 7 and have competed at high international levels. The discipline has a significant impact on every aspect of my personality. The mindset of judo is also the way in which I approach my life. For me it means dealing with problems and tasks in resourceful manners and never settling for anything less than the absolute best. In terms of my sculpture, I require myself to be perfect at every stage along the way to completing a finished piece. "Quayola employs technology as a lens to explore the tensions and equilibriums between seemingly opposing forces: the real and artificial, figurative and abstract, old and new. Constructing immersive installations, he engages with and re-imagines canonical imagery through contemporary technology. Landscape painting, classical sculpture and iconography are some of the historical aesthetics that serve as a point of departure for Quayola’s hybrid compositions. His varied practice, all deriving from custom computer software, also includes audiovisual performance, immersive video installations, sculpture, and works on paper.
His work has been performed and exhibited in many prestigious institutions worldwide including V&A Museum, London; Park Avenue Armory, New York; National Art Center, Tokyo; UCCA, Beijing; How Art Museum, Shanghai; SeMA, Seoul; Palais de Tokyo, Paris; Ars Electronica, Linz; Sonar Festival, Barcelona and Sundance Film Festival.
