It is a large-format, space-transforming hanging sculpture, artfully crafted from epoxy resin, acrylic and metal powder, available in brass and copper finishes. With impressive dimensions of 180 cm high (70.86 inches) and 40 x 40 cm (15.74 x 15.74 inches) at its widest point, this work dominates the environment with its sculptural presence. Its form is organically textured, evoking the geological nature of a stalactite or time-molded rock formation, with a body that gradually tapers to a point.
What makes this “Insula” unique is its ability to integrate the art into the architecture in a dynamic way, hanging from the ceiling to create an inescapable focal point. The textures are rich and varied, with deep grooves and rough surfaces that capture light in intriguing ways, accentuating the metallic patina.
