Mid 19th Century Longcase Clock in Shape of a Lyre, Sweden, circa 1850
Located in Greven, DE
Mid 19th Century Grandfather Clock in Lyre Shape Sweden Birch Circa 1850 Dimensions: H x W x D: 218 x 60 x 21 cm Description: Unusual Swedish grandfather clock from the mid-19th century in the shape of a lyre. The solid birch case stands on a wide plinth and tapers upwards in curved lines. Based on this, we see the lyre-shaped centre section with a viewing window door. Behind the glazing, which consists of two panes set against each other, the perpetual spectacle of the moving pendulum and the weights lowering over the course of a week can be observed. The round head of the clock opens to the front. Behind the curved glass pane, we see the dial painted in muted white with black hands and numerals. The signature of the clockmaker CARLSTRÖM can be found above the VI. The movement is a typical Swedish piece with a gear train mounted...

Dutch Art Deco Period Spice Rack with Clock
Located in London, GB
An interesting and very well made Art Deco period spice rack. This was made in the Netherlands in the 1930’s. It is a beautiful and very practical item, perfect for use in the kitchen. It has a solid birch frame, shaped in the typical Art Deco style. There are six large ceramic drawers and seven smaller ceramic drawers along the lower edge. The clock face and door front are also ceramic, all have gorgeous green touches and are labelled in Dutch for various herbs, spices and condiments.
