Noura Bed, Queen Bed, Bamboo Platform Bed in Wheat
By Sun at Six
Located in San Jose, CA
Sun at six is a contemporary furniture design studio working with traditional Chinese joinery masters to handcraft our pieces using traditional joinery. Great furniture begins with quality materials: raw, sustainably sourced wood, our house-made finishes developed with years of testing, and full-grain, vegetable-tanned leathers that patina with age. We work to bring out the natural character already present in our materials. People matter to us. We source leather from with a family-owned tannery in Italy, and work with traditional Chinese joinery masters, who hand build each piece of furniture using fading, ancient joinery techniques. We finish with our own tenna oil, a natural oil we press and make from tree oils and nuts ourselves. We work hard to find quality, sustainably sourced hardwoods, which are air-dried, hand-sealed, and carefully kiln-dried according to our own recipes. In line with our commitment to sustainability, we’ve developed the Noura bed using...

Yes, some Foley china is valuable. Many collectors prize Foley ware for its fine craftsmanship and elegant details. In 1910, there was a legal battle over the name “Foley” amongst pottery makers in the region. The name was officially changed to “Shelley” in 1925. You can shop a selection of Shelley Pottery pieces from some of the world’s top sellers on 1stDibs.

Yes, some Foley bone china is worth something. Antique pieces produced during the late 19th and early 20th centuries are often sought-after by collectors. These pieces are relatively easy to spot as they usually bear dark green maker's marks, whereas newer china produced by the British maker typically displays blue or brown marks. In addition to age, the type, style and condition will influence the potential selling price of Foley pieces. A certified appraiser or experienced antique dealer can provide a fair market value for your china. On 1stDibs, shop a collection of Foley bone china.
