Keith Carrington Still-life Drawings and Watercolors
American, b. 1959
Keith Carrington’s experiences have led him to express his talents through the fluid & exacting mediums of watercolor and ink. He has honed his skills, clarified his vision, experimented, explored, and expanded his expression steadily over the years, the results of which thus far culminate here. Keith’s extensive travels have roots in the luminous quality of his work, eminently holding the unlimited possibilities of beauty and significance. Keith’s most recent paintings combine original comic book renderings that his mother did for Disney et al. and reinterprets them effectively combining the past with present energies and infuses his enthusiasm into these dynamic pieces that you see here today.

Blue Boy of the North Atlantic - Octopus on Antique Nautical Chart Gyotako Style
By Jeff Conroy
Located in Chicago, IL
A small octopus is inked in the Japanese style of Gyo-Taku print making. Using sumi ink to "print" the octopus, the artist then embellishes it with colored pencil to convey an extraordinary dimensionality. By printing it on a nautical chart, in this case a pilot chart of the Northern Atlantic Ocean from 1945, the artist achieves a beautiful aesthetic. The artwork is unframed. Please contact the gallery for framing options.

It is rumored that Samurai would settle fishing competitions using Gyotaku prints...
