Art Deco is a style of visual arts, architecture and design that first appeared in France just before World War I. It combined modernist styles with fine craftsmanship and rich materials. During its heyday, Art Deco represented luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress. Among the Art Deco participants that posterity has chosen are furniture designers Jacques Adnet, Jacques-Emile Ruhlmann and Maurice Dufrene, Jules Leuleu, Victor Horta and Eliel Saarinen, designers specialized in glass René Lalique and Émile Gallé as well as couturiers Erté and Paul Poiret.
This set of eight dining room chairs was designed in the late 20th century. The chairs retain their original mother of pearl upholstery, featuring walnut frames.

This Art Deco credenza features three sections with shelves and four drawers. Burr elm chrome band around the thickened base and ebonised shaped platform, with ebonised fluted detail around the base.
High quality design, the drawers are dovetailed, fine hinge, maple wood interior.
