Sante Monachesi Drawings and Watercolor Paintings
Sante Monachesi was the founder of the "Futurist Movement in Marche" in 1932. During the same year, he was one of the founders of the Futurist Umberto Boccioni Group, Futurists in the Marche, with Bruno Tano and other artists. In 1934, on the occasion of the honors of Giacomo Leopardi in the exhibition of ancient and modern art in Recanati, he held his first solo exhibition of paintings and sculptures. Always interested in research, available for new aesthetic adventures and inspired by new plastic materials, Monachesi created foam and polymethylmethacrylate sculptures in the ‘60s. His long artistic career is testified by important and critical contributions on his work and by numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad. After his death in Rome in 1991, numerous exhibitions have been staged in Italy and international locations.
