An exceptional, fine and impressive antique German silver and glass jar; an addition to our diverse range of continental silverware. This exceptional antique German 800 standard silver box has a circular shaped form. The jar is fitted with a push fit silver cover realistically modelled in the form of a stemmed apple. The antique glass body of the jar has a subtly panelled form and is ornamented with cut glass decoration in a geometric design, in addition to a star cut motif to the underside. The upper rim of the jar is fitted with a hallmarked silver mount. The hallmarks struck to the surface of the antique silver mount include: National mark: Crescent moon and crown, Germany Silver quality/purity mark: 800 (800/1000) Maker's mark: WTB (untraced) Condition This antique German silver mounted jar is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The German hallmarks struck to the silver mount are all very clear. An exceptional, fine and impressive 18 carat yellow gold, 0.43 carat garnet, 0.08 carat ruby, green coloured hardstone and glass scent bottle; an addition to our diverse ornamental collection This exceptional 18 carat yellow gold antique scent bottle has a has a plain flask shaped form. This antique opalesque glass scent bottle is fitted with a fine and impressive yellow gold cylindrical collar and domed hinged cover, which opens to reveal the original push fit glass stopper. The rim of the collar, cover and mounted foot are embellished with impressive leaf designs. The surface of the cover is ornamented with impressive scrolling leaf decoration on a matte background, incorporating quatrefoil shaped floral motifs comprised of four collet set green-coloured hardstones. Each quatrefoil shaped design is embellished with a collet set cabochon cut ruby to the centre, totalling 0.08ct. The domed upper portion of the cover is further ornamented with an impressive scrolling leaf bordered floral design, comprised of five collet set green hardstone petals with an impressive 0.43ct round faceted cut garnet to the centre, collet set in relief. An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique Georgian English sterling silver tea caddies; an addition to our silver teaware collection. These exceptional antique George II sterling silver tea caddies have a circular baluster shaped form. The surface of each antique tea caddy is embellished with very sharp, finely chased floral and foliate decoration, incorporating a scroll bordered vacant cartouche to either side. The ornamentation to the body of each piece incorporates a plain applied moulded girdle. These caddies are fitted with a cylindrical push fit covers encircled with leaf decorated textures. An exceptional, fine and impressive set of antique George V English sterling silver, enamel and glass scent bottles; an addition to our silver mounted glass collection. This exceptional antique George V scent bottle container has a cylindrical form. The surface of the body is embellished with exceptional pale blue guilloche enamel accented with violet floral garlands above a transitional band of purple enamel incorporating minute floral motifs. The cover is ornamented with further enamel decoration with violet floral garlands suspended from a scrolling trellis style border to the upper portion. The upper plateau of the cover is encircled with further enamel ornamentation reflecting the design to the lower portion of the body. The cover opens to reveal the original three glass perfume bottles and stoppers. Each bottle is fitted with a silver mount ornamented with a band of pale blue enamel. These antique perfume bottles are fitted to the original hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior bearing the retailer's mark 'Diamond Merchants, Searle & Co Ltd, Goldsmiths & Silversmiths, 79 Lombard St, London'. The cover of the box secures with a decorative trefoil hinged catch. The shaped glass body of each antique perfume bottles is embellished with stepped ornamentation to the upper portion. The interior of the sterling silver chamber, cover and mounts to the bottles retain the original gilding. Condition These antique scent bottles are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The glass perfume bottles are in perfect condition. The original gilding shows signs of wear in keeping with age. There is a slight surface abrasion to the enamel at the top rim of the container. The interior of the original box is in excellent condition, in keeping with age; the exterior surface is in excellent presentation condition. Full import hallmarks struck to the underside of the sterling silver container and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear; the hallmarks show signs of wear in keeping with age but remain legible. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these antique enamel perfume bottles...

A fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver vase with military interest (Durham Light Infantry); an addition to our ornamental silverware collection. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver vase has a tapering cylindrical form to a domed circular spreading foot. The upper and lower portions of the body of the vase are embellished with embossed and chased stylized scrolling leaf and bead decoration in a swirl design. The body is further ornamented with a band of six cartouches amidst a shaped border accented with a leaf motif between each; four of the cartouches remain vacant. To one side there is a contemporary bright cut engraved crest of the Durham Light Infantry amidst the inscription ‘Presented to Officers, 3rd Bn, The Durham Light Infantry’, with the presentation inscription ‘Officers Race, won by, Lieut H J Sowerby, 1887’ to the other side. The upper rim of this impressive vase is encircled with an applied moulded border to the rim. The vase retains the original gilt interior. In 1758 General John Lambton of County Durham first raised the 68th Regiment of Foot as part of the British Army. This later amalgamated with another regiment to become The Durham Light Infantry in 1881. Condition This antique Victorian vase...

A magnificent, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver Armada jug and stand; part of our wine and drinks related silverware collection This magnificent antique Victorian English sterling silver Armada jug has an elongated pear-shaped form onto a circular pedestal foot. The stand has an octofoil shaped form with a central swept raised circular well. The cylindrical neck of the silver jug is embellished with exceptional cast and applied floral and scrolling foliate decoration, all on a matte background; there is an exceptional shield shaped vacant cartouche to the underside of the pouring lip, surmounted with scrolling leaf mantling. The knopped neck is further ornamented with an interlacing border flanked with plain bands, to a swept portion encircled with pensile bud designs. The decoration to the body incorporates two large scrolling leaf bordered vacant cartouches, each surmounted with a coronet design embellished with floral ornamentation. Each cartouche is further embellished with a chased figural mask design to the nadir, flanked with large floral motifs. Either side of each cartouche is embellished with an exceptional cast and applied three-dimensional winged mermaid and mermen, gesturing towards the aforementioned coronet. The decoration to the body is further embellished with large scrolling leaf and floral sprays incorporating a cast and applied protruding leopard's head to the anterior portion.
