Created in China during the Qing Dynasty period in the 19th century, this jewelry cabinet features a narrow rectangular top with recessed panel, overhanging a lovely façade. An open shelf surrounded by a carved décor showcasing two birds surrounding a central star, makes up the upper portion of the cabinet. Below, a pair of double doors, fitted with a large traditional brass medallion with ornate pulls, open to reveal a small storage space. The cabinet is raised on four straight legs connected to one another through a carved apron in the front.
