A very fine & large pair of 19th century antique French Sevres Porcelain, ormolu and champleve enamel, handpainted ewers, signed "C. Rochette", circa 1890. Each ewer having a finely cast & gilded bronze rococo handle, each neck is decorated with exquisite champleve enamel. Each ewer having a dark blue porcelain baluster shaped body, with two oval hand-painted reserves each with a courting couple signed "C. Rochette", both reserves are surrounded with lavish gilding & at the base of each painted panel are the Sevres interlaced L's. To the rear are corresponding panels also finely handpainted with landscape scenes, the ewers are raised on champleve socle bases and with onyx plinths below. Condition of both ewers is excellent, a very beautiful pair of exqusite late 19th century Sevres ewers...

A very fine pair of antique 19th century French handpainted porcelain style pot-pourri urns, Veuve Perrin, Marseilles. The urns were designed to receive fragrant pot pourri, each lid is surmounted with a gilded acorn shape finial and having pierced decoration to allow the fragrant aromas to diffuse. A good pair of large antique Japanese Meiji period porcelain lidded jars, circa 1880. The jars having ribbed dome shaped lids topped with lion-dog (Komainu) finials, the baluster shaped jars also of corresponding ribbed form. The lids and jars are skillfully hand-decorated in the Imari palette with blue & iron red floral decoration over a white body, on one side are a pair of floral cartouches on another side is a fan shaped cartouche. A large hand-blown early glass vessel by the celebrated Pacific Northwest glass artist, Sonja Blomdahl (b. 1952), signed & numbered, 1980's. In 1974 Blomdahl got her degree from Massachusetts College of Art & studied under sculptor Dan Dailey. She then trained at the Orrefors glassworks in Sweden, Venetian glass master Checco Ongaro taught Blomdahl the method of double-bubble blowing (or incalmo), of which this large vessel is a great example of. In 1978, Blomdahl served as a teaching assistant at the Pilchuck Glass School (Stanwood, Washington) she has held teaching positions at the Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle; Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Deer Isle, Maine; and the Appalachian Center in Smithville, Tennessee. Blomdahl's first solo exhibition was at the Traver Sutton Gallery in Seattle in 1981. She opened her own studio in Seattle in 1983 which remained open until 2009.
