Guariche is perhaps best known for his work with the Belgian firm Meurop, where he designed high-quality affordable furniture, specializing in chairs and multi-Directional, articulated lighting. His laminated plywood Tonneau chair (1954) for Steiner is a Classic of the era.

We love the lines of these midcentury, Swedish dining chairs. The gleaming polished steel is softened by the texture of the custom cushions masterfully fashioned of our beautiful ivory-hued Brazilian cowhide. We created a patchwork pattern in the cushions to mimic and play on the angular lines of the chairs. This is a wonderful set!
