Stunning Example of a single English Minton Porcelain Two Branch Candelabra, modelled as a Cherub holding on each hand an out swept candle holder, seated on an oval base above an elaborate footed stand. Circa third quarter of the Nineteenth Century, possibly earlier Exquisitely decorated in colours of turquoise on white glazed ground with lavish gold highlights. Condition: Good condition for such an early piece with no losses, no discoloring anywhere. Typically unmarked as pieces of this early period. Height: (entire as image one, an impressive) 11.5" (29cm). Width: (at oval base) 5.5” (13.5cm). Depth: (at base) 4.25” (10.25cm). Location: Dublin City, Ireland. This large centerpiece or epergne was made by the well known Wilcox Silver Plate Company of the United States in approximately 1900 and done in a Victorian style. The base is composed of silver plate and features three figural children holding a rope and playing a period circle game. The middle of the centerpiece is composed of a bowl with three partitions that is decorated with engraved stylized flowers.
