In 2012, along with Adams’ completion of his 42 minute video Malraux’s Shoes, he was simultaneously referencing his own extensive library and archive documenting the intellectual climate of the 1960s. Entitled Tagging the Archive, this suite of 24 text pieces are montaged over revolutionary ephemera from the 60s as well as book covers such as Abbie Hoffman’s Steal this Book (1971), Franz Erhard Walther’s Objekte, benutzen (1968), Jean Luc Godard’s Le Petit Soldat, Claude Levi Strauss’s Tristes Tropiques, Henry Miller’s Black Spring, and others. This was Adams’ opportunity to formulate a critical dialogue filled with ambiguous clues. Juxtaposed against forerunners such as Broodthaer’s Departement des Aigles (1968-72), or Aby Warburg’s Mnemosyne Atlas (1866-1929), or Malraux’s Le Musee Imaginaire, or Richard Prince’s extensive personal library of vintage pulp...

Sir Peter Blake is one of the most successful British Pop artists from the fabulous 1960s, and his work can be found in major museums and collections worldwide. He is best known for creating the sleeve design of the Beatles' album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. It was with the Young Contemporaries exhibition of 1961, where he exhibited alongside David Hockney and R.B. Kitaj, that Blake rose to prominence. Blake created this limited edition print, a tribute to the Art Car, exclusively for the Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair 2013. The work sold out completely in less than 15 minutes. It is in excellent condition. Pencil signed and numbered from the limited edition of only 110. This is a 150th-anniversary poster for the beach city of Rimini, Italy, and is the last poster that this master artist created. Rene Gruau was famous enough to sign his art with just the letter “G” with an asterisk. All certified art dealers will know it is his work. He also signed his last name as well
The mermaid in this Italian poster holds an umbrella with the dates and the name of Bagni di Rimini across the top.
