A stunning Antique Silver Artist’s paint box by Harry Atkin, Date Sheffield 1892. A Rare Miniature travelling paint box in excellent condition. The silver on both the outside and the interior is in superb condition. Upon opening, the front cascades down to reveal two wells for water and perhaps mixing colours. The interior is well protected thanks to the interior gilding. The lid engraved “Lettice’s Paint Box”. Lettice is a traditional, English girl’s name most commonly found in the upper classes. The actual paints are not original but the current set of paints are a later acceptable replacement. The miniature brush was with it but not original and doubt it ever had one. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Austrian 800 standard silver and enamel cigarette case; an addition to our silver smoking related silverware collection. This exceptional sterling silver cigarette case has a plain rectangular form with rounded corners. This Georg Adam Scheid silver and enamel cigarette case has a subtly curved form offering a comfortable fit in the majority of pockets. The anterior cover is embellished with an exceptional original enamel panel depicting a female wading through a vast amount of water, holding in her hands her skirt, boots and parasol. The posterior cover is ornamented with the contemporary engraved initials 'THW.' The rounded sides of this cigarette case are plain and unembellished. Each cover features a plain rounded thumbpiece in addition to a hallmarked push fit catch, which when released reveals two hinged compartments. This impressive example of continental silverware...

For your consideration is this excellent condition Art Deco ladies combination compact dating to 1928. This is a classic Art Deco Richard Hudnut Le Debut Cloisonné Powder, Rouge and Mirror Compact and is an absolute delight in every aspect and genuinely has appears never to have been used. This compact features a black enamel lid with cream dotted accents; the back of the compact has a spider web machine-tooled finish to accent the octagonal shape of the compact. The case opens to a rouge compartment with a mirror in the lid that is behind a gold toned Art Deco decorated cover. The loose powder compartment is in the lower section of the compact; and it has a hinged and latched recessed door to hold a puff. This feature was a later addition to the initial solid powder product release of 1924 and has the patent date stamped on the underside of the hinged door reflecting an issue date of 1928. The original rouge is in untouched condition and still shows the embossed name Le Debut while the loose powder well is empty. Inside it is hallmarked "Le Debut", "Richard Hudnut" on the Art Deco mirror frame...

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique William IV English sterling silver table snuff box; an addition to our collectable silverware collection. This exceptional antique William IV sterling silver snuff box has a rectangular, rounded form. The body of the box is embellished with impressive chased floral motifs accented with scrolling stem and foliate ornamentation, all on a matte background. The decoration to the body incorporates a chased single leaf design to each corner, emanating from the rounded lower portion. The upper rim of the body and swept sides of the cover are encompassed with a continuous band of engine turned decoration. The underside of the box features a further panel of engine turned decoration. This exceptional example of antique silverware is fitted with a hinged hallmarked cover embellished with an engine turned bordered rectangular vacant cartouche to the upper plateau. The cover is further embellished with an exceptional cast and applied domed, incurved border to the upper portion, matching the ornamentation to that of the body and continuing to an impressive floral thumbpiece to the anterior edge. This antique sterling silver snuff box opens to reveal the original gilded interior. Condition This antique sterling silver snuff box is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The chased and applied ornamentation is all very sharp and the engine turned decoration is all very crisp. Full hallmarks struck to the interior of the box are all very clear.
