A very large vintage 1920s Stirling silver and marcasite snake brooch

This stunning very large oversized piece of jewellery is finely made in silver marked 925 for Stirling quality. It is made in the form of a snake and is beautifully hand set in marcasite from head to tail which glistens brightly against the light.
The snake’s eyes are set in contrast with bright red stones most likely garnets. In addition, it also has a delicate silver tongue.
The brooch is very nicely fitted with a large silver hinged pin with a safety catch.
This stunning large piece of silver jewellery is a statement piece which would greatly complement any garment.
