About the Item

C.1950 cap sleeve black shell style top custom fabricated from a Japanese obi cloth. The black background is the perfect frame for the rich royal purple, green and matte silver floral design. The top is simply made with pullover construction and a cropped length. Perfect to pair with black cigarette pants or even high waist jeans. No doubt this obi was purchased while traveling and later made into a wearable piece of art. Lovely! CONDITION Fair condition with signs of wear and age to the fabric. There appears to be some decoration loss as shown in photograph 8.
