1950s Grey Cotton and White Embroidered Dress and Jacket Set

About the Item

This is a fabulous and very lightweight original 1950s set comprised of two items - a classic sheath dress overlaid with a back fastening, cropped jacket. The fabric is a very fine quality cotton overlaid with white machined embroidery. The design is repeated on both the skirt element of the dress and the front of the jacket. The jacket is neatly French seamed and fastens to the back with large faux pearlescent buttons. The dress is lined in a cotton silk blend and access is also via the back with a central and original concealed zip. The skirt section has a kick pleat to aid movement. The suit is extremely well made but the designer's label has been lost in time. The condition is excellent and there are no faults of any note. Both of these items can be worn separately. They will fit up to a UK size 10 / US 6. MEASUREMENTS: DRESS: BUST - 38 in. (96.5 cm) WAIST - 30 in. (76.2 cm) HIP - 37 in. (94 cm) LENGTH - 39.5 in. (100 cm) SHOULDERS - 14 in.
