1950s Pale Green Abstract Novelty Patterned Dress

About the Item

This pretty 1950s silk green patterned dress features an unusual kaleidoscope design in a variety of attractive shades of green and pale blue. The dress is deeply feminine with a full, ankle length skirt, and flared shirt sleeves that create soft movement in the lightweight paper silk fabric. A modest V neck extends to a wrap around detail that graduates towards the left of the waistband. A simple tie around belt is used to accentuate the waist and adds to the gamine appeal of this charming piece. The dress is lined from the waist down and carefully hand finished at the hem. It is in lovely condition with no notable flaws, and although it would lend itself to a smaller size, would fit up to US size 8 , UK size 12. Unlabelled but very good quality production.
