Little black dress with embroidered ears of wheat - France Circa 1945

About the Item

Circa 1943- 1945 France Interesting little black dress with embroidered white ears of wheat, unmarked and dating from the end of the Second World War. Strapless dress in black crepe, with short sleeves and a small collar with turned-down points. Fastened at the front with eleven matching bell buttons with passes (small hole on one button). Appliqué embroidery of white cords forming two large ears of wheat symmetrically arranged on the chest, echoed on the two slanted pockets of the skirt. The skirt is in black silk faille, gathered at the waist and flat pleated at the back. Opening on one side with three press studs. No flaws. Very good colour and condition. Dimensions: Equivalent to French size 36-37. Shoulders 36 cm, waist 75 cm, chest 87 cm, sleeves 31 cm, hips 94 cm, height 102 cm.
