About the Item

Circa 1855 France or Europe Precious white cotton muslin or organza round crinoline walker dress dating from the beginning of the Second Empire. Dress with puffed sleeves, folded pleats and closed in the back with small mother-of-pearl buttons. Very beautiful handmade pleats in finely openwork bathing and religious pleats on the skirt, bodice and bottom of sleeves tightened at the wrists. This type of summer dress can be seen in the iconography of Impressionist painting. Cleaned dress, immaculately white and without defect. Very Good condition. Dimensions: Equivalent size France 36. Height 133 cm, shoulders 39 cm, sleeves 62 cm, chest 92 cm, waist 69 cm, skirt height 101 cm, skirt bottom 320 cm.
