About the Item

Psychedelic floral print maxi dress by Quad London from the 1970s. The dress has an empire waist with a flowy skirt, and beautiful butterfly sleeves (also sometimes labelled as batwing sleeves or angel sleeces). The 1970s psychedelic multicolour flower print runs all over the dress, featuring mostly fuchsia pink flowers but also orange, light blue, purple, green and yellow. BRAND DESCRIPTION Quad was a boutique in London, opened in the 1960s. Their pieces were celebrated among the funky London crowd in that British counter culture movement of the 60s and 70s. The brand was known for their fabulously unusual and iconic pieces that were inspired by history. They operated alongside boutiques like Mary Quant, Biba Paraphernalia and Tuffin and Foale. Quad pieces are considered collectibles nowadays because of the significance of London boutique culture in the 1960s-1970s, it’s really a tangible piece of history.
