About the Item

This vivacious 1960s red silk chiffon empire line dress is by American designer Levino Verna and is in beautiful vintage condition with a vibrant, contemporary feel. This piece has wonderful simplicity and has no embellishment bar a piped seam at the waistband. There is a finely pleated chiffon overlay in bright crimson with a shallow V neckline both at the front and reverse and a full ankle length skirt cascading from the empire waistline. The nature of the fabric creates a beautiful fluidity of movement when worn, making this piece a marvellous choice for dancing. The dress is lined in silk crepe and a thick layer of cotton blend fabric. There is a zip fastening at the centre reverse with a hook eye fastening to secure. Would best fit up to US size 4-6, UK size 8-10. MEASUREMENTS: BUST - 34 in. (86.36 cm) WAIST - 27 in. (68.58 cm) HIP - 36 in. (91.44 cm) LENGTH - 50 in. (127 cm)
