About the Item

1980s printed cotton organdy dress is by British designer Donald Campbell who created beautiful, individually cut ready to wear pieces from quality couture fabrics from the early 70's to late 00's. The bold floral print depicts poppies and roses in red, turquoise and marine blue against a white background and has a wonderfully vivacious aesthetic. The organdy overlay is gathered beneath the Bardot style neckline which features ribbon shoulder straps culminating in blue bows both front and reverse. The 3/4 length bishop sleeves have a feminine cap frill sewn into the gathered neckline at the top of each arm. The ankle length skirt falls in soft folds below the neat waistband and has a stiff net underskirt for additional volume. The dress is fully lined in white and with a central zip fastening at the reverse that secures with a hook and eye closure. In pristine vintage condition, this vibrant, dynamic piece is simply perfect for any summer occasion. Would fit up to UK size 10, US 6. MEASUREMENTS: BUST - 34 in. (86.36 cm) WAIST - 27 in. (68.58 cm) HIP - 38 in. (96.52 cm) LENGTH - 58.5 in. (148.59 cm)
