1990s Jacques Azagury Nude Chiffon Evening Slip Dress

About the Item

This late 1990s to early 2000s Jacques Azagury evening gown is a tailored from romantic nude silk chiffon. It is inspired by antique slip-dresses and features a structured bust which is boned at the front and back. Underneath, a sheath silhouette falls the length of the dress to the floor. The straps are crafted from nude mesh that plays to the underwear-as-outerwear feel. The back of the dress fastens with a hidden tonal zip and hook-and-eye clasp. It is fully lined with pale peach silk. This dress is in excellent vintage condition with no issues of any note. It has no size or composition label. We believe it would be a best fit for around a UK size 10 or US 6 and smaller. The fabric has no stretch. Jacques Azagury was a Moroccan born Fashion Designer most notably known for dressing Princess Diana. Jacques first met Princess Diana in 1987 and held a very special relationship with the Princess and carried on dressing her until her death in 1997. He dressed some of the most glamorous women in the world including Helen Mirren, Kelly Brook, Helen McCrory, Elizabeth McGovern, Sheridan Smith and Amanda Holden and retired after a 40 year career in 2023.
