About the Item
Dignified and statuesque, this gown combines the modesty and rigor of a kimono with the body conscious glamour of the 1930s. The high cut asymmetrical bodice and inset obi waist detail keep it demure, but the fluttering batwing sleeves—dripping with tambour beading and Austrian crystals—are the real show-stoppers.
Deep brown silk crêpe kimono gown with fixed asymmetrical V bodice, obi-style inset waist and bias skirt; multiple rear neck darts radiate from center back. Bracelet length batwing sleeves embellished with bugle beads and Austrian crystals; open at underarms. Over-the-head construction with no closures except a single snap at point of V neck; unlined.
