Circa 1958-1963

Spectacular black tulle evening gown embroidered with heart-shaped sequins by Jean Dessès Haute Couture and dating from the early 1960s. Sleeveless, tight-fitting and sheath-like dress emphasizing the silhouette. Large plunging neckline held at the shoulders by black velvet ribbons and zip in the back. Large spiral effect flounce from one shoulder to the bottom of the dress with a slit on one side. Falbalas punctuated by a wide black velvet ribbon with two braids. Whalebone bustier lined with black taffeta and grosgrain belt. Label indicating Jean Dessès 12 Rond Point des Champs Elysées Paris. Skirt lining in black taffeta. To note bodice dusted at the level of the chest circled with metal (there is some white dust from the chest rings, probably to be removed), otherwise no hole or stain. Very good condition of colour and conservation.
Dimensions: Equivalent to French size 36-37. Height 148 cm, shoulders 39 cm, chest 95-97 cm, waist 69-71 cm, hips 98 cm.
