Florence Lustig Beaded Sequin Knit Wiggle Dress, 1950's

About the Item

A glamorous 1950's Florence Lustig knit wear dress with shimmering all over sequins and elaborate beading in the form of a grape vine. The off-white knit has a silvery Lurex sparkle and nubby style finish which provides a body conscious silhouette and a 'wiggle' dress appeal for the classic 50's bombshell look. The allover iridescent sequins are actually subtle though they provide the perfect shimmer that catches the light at every turn. The intricate beading includes seed and bugle beads in shades of white, silver and crystal. It is truly a glam look with a wonderful combination of sex appeal and elegance. Unlined and might require special undergarments for a smooth appearance. CONDITION Good vintage condition with some signs of age and wear though overall a beautiful example of 1950's cocktail attire. There are a couple of rust spots at the bottom front of the dress shown in photographs 13 and 14 ... they are small and subtle. The beading and sequins appear to be in very good condition. The dress has been professionally cleaned and is ready to wear. SIZING & MEASUREMENTS The size is not marked though the dress best fits U.S. sizes 2 - 4 with attention to the following measurements. Please note that the dress might work best for someone with a strong shoulder line ... narrow shoulders will not fit well. The knit has stretch providing for curves and ease of movement ... keep that in mind when reviewing the measurements. For visual reference, the mannequin in the photographs is a size 4.
