Jacqueline de Ribes Pale Peach Silk Charmeuse Evening Dress with Attached Shawl
About the Item
Jacqueline de Ribes, a French Socialite designed elegant clothing in Paris from 1982 to until 1995. She is a woman of exquisite taste and a patron of the Haute Couture houses who was respected for her keen eye and attention to detail. Yves Saint Laurent encouraged her to start her own business and Harold Koda curated an exhibition of her work at The Costume Institute in 2015. This stunning pale peach silk charmeuse dress is from her Ready to Wear line. The dress has the intricate construction of a Couture gown as you can see from the photos. The bodice is draped and there is a left side attached shawl with an opening for your hand on the right side. The skirt is loosely gathered and drapes beautifully. There is no size tag so please check the measurements. The dress is in excellent condition.
