Vintage 1920's blush silk chiffon beaded flapper dress silver and pink UK 8-10

About the Item

Full of opulent original details, rendered in the most luxurious fashion, this rare 1920's piece is a beauty to behold . The rounded neckline is framed by wide shoulder straps and a sleeveless cut. The simple straight-line bodice is accented by a central beaded panel, which is framed to either side by matching panels along each side seam, joining each other along the dropped waistline, which in turn is accented by a beaded panel with triangular finishing details. The wonderful beaded embellishments boast white pearlescent beads, surrounding silver lined glass beads, clear glass beads, silver bugle beads and claw set rhinestones, forming a trailing geometrical pattern. The elegant line of the dress gently flares from below the dropped waistline into a full circle bias cut hemline, which drapes along the silhouette. The back of the dress features a rounded nape, from which the matching central beaded panel joins the back of the dress, between two triangular key hole features, creating a near racer back design. This dress is sheer and may need to be worn with a slip to conceal ones modesty. Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition, with gentle and light beadwork loss. A few very small light pulls to the silk chiffon. This is in no way apparent when the dress is being worn and only noticeable upon very close inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
