About the Item

Kimono is a respected and the highly decorated traditional robe from Japan. These robes have been the center of inspiration for many Western designers and have been edited over time to appeal to a modern audience while maintaining many of the stylistic elements of the original garment. While it is common for kimono to feature delicate floral motifs, this rendition incorporates large scale falling leaves in bold, rich colors of brick red, green, and burnt umber on a wispy field of sky blue and ivory. A loose draped fit adds movement to the print. On the interior, a warm cherry blossom print in vibrant tones of turquoise, vermillion, persimmon, and golden yellow decorate the sunny print. With a vintage feel and international inspiration, this kimono is on trend and works beautifully belted as a mini dress or open over an easy summer look. Size: S/M Measurements: Shoulders: 25 inches Sleeves: 12 inches Bust: 38 inches Waist: 38 inches Hips:38 inches Length: 39 inches The lining of this kimono makes it completely reversible and made from soft silk fabric. In excellent condition, this garment has been professionally eco dry cleaned and pressed. High-quality vintage pieces like this are yours to live in and love while increasing in value every year. It’s never too soon to start collecting them, as an investment in your wardrobe—and in yourself. -Follow us on Instagram @BASHAGOLD

Pauline Trigère Abstract Floral Print Cotton Kimono Angel-Sleeve Dress, 1960s
Located in Boca Raton, FL
Pauline Trigère was a prominent figure in putting American designers on the map. Like many of the acclaimed French couturiers, she was an expert at tailoring and had an eye for interesting volumes. However true-to-form of the American aesthetic, Trigère designs are known for their relative simplicity and elegance through ease. From the late 1960s, this magnificent dress is a fine example of why Trigère’s designs were so beloved in Hollywood during that period. Done in a woven cotton featuring an abstract floral print in white, chartreuse, pink, lavender, and ochre on a navy ground, this dress is a wearable work of art. The bodice begins with a high round collar and has incredible sheer kimono...
