About the Item

With the sharp shoulders of the 1940s and the impossible wasp-waisted peplum of the 1950s, this gorgeous jacket represents a time when women’s roles were changing from wartime laborers to suburban housewives. All the hallmarks of an exquisitely made Lilli Ann, including imported French fabric, immaculate tailoring and sublime details. Sharply tailored jacket with double front and back princess seams for poured-on fit. Features include a notched wing lapel, massive flared peplum and pieced chevron torso in shades of brown, mushroom and taupe. Collarless coat features wide cap sleeves over long, wide, tapering open air sleeves, generous arm vents, a straight shape with a long back slit, 4 pockets and a neck tie closure. Jacket is unlined.
