About the Item

This is the fun 1970's bohemian version of the 'coat of many colors'. The two piece suit consists of a motorcycle jacket and a maxi skirt designed in a patchwork of leather and suede shapes of various colors including blue, red, green, brown, camel, burgundy, white, tan and oxblood. The double breasted jacket snaps at the front and cuffs with rayon lining and front flap pockets. The relaxed waist skirt zips at the side. Neither piece is labelled other then a tag which reads 'Genuine Leather, Made in Spain'. Period perfect worn as an ensemble or wear each piece as a separate to acquire many different looks. CONDITION This outfit was well loved and there are some condition issues specified in photographs 8 - 10. There is cracking to the only patent leather patch on the jacket as shown in photograph 8. There are various smudges and spots on both pieces though the worst area is on the skirt as shown in photograph 9. The skirt suffered a tear at the back near the hem which has been patched on the underside as shown in photograph 10. I will be glad to provide additional photographs upon request. It has been hand cleaned with leather conditioner and a suede brush but a leather specialist warned against professional cleaning as there is a risk of color bleed. It is a fabulous piece perfect for someone that does not mind a little character in their vintage.
