About the Item

This C.1970 Stirling Cooper three piece wool suit takes you straight back to the swinging London scene of the late 1960’s ... the era of fashionable rockers, Biba and the androgynous look. The period perfect mod details include a wide lapel, pointy collar, menswear vest and wide legged bell bottom pants. Perfect combined with a wide necktie and a fedora with platform shoes. (The necktie in the photographs is actually Pauline Trigere from the same era and is not original to the suit but will be included because it is perfect!) CONDITION At first glance, the suit appears to be in very good condition though there are some issues worth mentioning. The acetate lining at the back of the vest is faded across the top of the back as shown in photograph 13. The fabric at the upper inseam on the pant legs shows wear most likely from friction during wearing ... please see photograph 14. It is easy to overlook the flaws with all the 'fabulousness' this suit has to offer! SIZING & MEASUREMENTS The size is not marked though the suit best fits a modern U.S. size 4 - 6 with attention to the following measurements. For visual reference, the mannequin in the photographs is a size 4.
